About the programme

The Tripartite Engineering Training Award (TETA) is a training programme that enables Singaporeans and Singapore PRs to be trained as CoC (Class 5) Marine Engineers to join the Maritime Industry.

The programme is funded and supported by the Workforce Singapore (WSG), Singapore Maritime Officers’ Union (SMOU), Singapore Shipping Association (SSA), e2i (Employment and Employability Institute) and shipping companies.

About the Programme

TNTA is a place‐n‐train programme that enables Singaporeans and Singapore PRs to join the Maritime industry as CoC (Class 3) Deck Officers. The programme is funded and supported by the Workforce Singapore (WSG), Singapore Maritime Officers’ Union (SMOU), Singapore Shipping Association (SSA), Employment and Employability Institute (e2i) and shipping companies.

CoC (Special Limits) Deck Officer

About the programme

CoC (Special Limits) Deck Officer is a training programme initiated in partnership with Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA), Workforce Singapore (WSG), Employment and Employability Institute (e2i), Singapore Maritime Academy (SMA) and Singapore Shipping Association (SSA) affiliated bunkering companies.

The programme aims at providing a new route for locals to work as a CoC (Special Limits) Deck Officer onboard vessels plying within Special Limits (refer to voyage limits below).

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Responsible for the safe navigation of the ship

2. Oversee and manage cargo operations

3. Allocate duties for the maintenance of the vessel

4. Observe national and international codes of conduct in governing sea transportation
