Communications Executive

Job Description

- Responsible for effective outreach to the Association’s members via communication channels such as website, social media, publications and engagement platforms e.g. events/seminars

- Co-ordinate/organise talks, networking activities, cocktail receptions, annual dinner and other activities assigned

- Manage the Association’s Young Executive Group in terms of membership and events management as well as secretarial services for its committee

- Involved in full spectrum of Corporate/Marketing Communications which includes but not limited to social media and press media management

- Work with internal departments, members and 3rd party agencies on publications, newsletter, corporate/marketing collaterals, annual reports etc.

- Represent the Association in collaborative efforts with other maritime partners to promote the Association and the maritime industry.

- Assist in any other administrative or ad hoc duties that may be assigned from time to time

Requirements:

- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Press/social media experience

- Well-organised with an eye for detail, and able to work under pressure and manage competing priorities simultaneously

- Social, outgoing, resourceful with a positive can-do attitude

- Work experience in not-for-profit sector advantageous

Membership and Digital Media Executive

Job Description:

- Comfortable with website content management and CRM/data related work, as candidate is required to define & refine the membership framework

- Define and refine membership framework

-- Review, select and lead implementation of CRM/membership system taking into consideration workflow/business processes, stakeholders & their objectives/requirements, interfaces with members, interfaces with other functions/systems, etc.

- Custodian of membership database. Work with stakeholders to ensure membership data is up-to-date and accurate

- Responsible for membership life cycle

-- Respond to inquiries & follow-ups (for new applications and resigning members).

-- Maintenance of membership data (updates of member companies contact points, emails, and information).

-- Plan and execute a half yearly review and update exercise on membership database maintenance.

- Develop an understanding of how each functional teams are using Membership database and mailing lists and support the teams.

- Coordinate and manage the creation of contents on website and social media channels.

Requirements:

- Proactive and able to execute decisions independently.

- Service oriented with good written and inter-personal skills.

- Well-organised with an eye for detail, and able to work under pressure and manage competing priorities simultaneously

- Experience with CRM/membership functions and systems

- Knowledge of finance/finance systems (knowledge preferred as any change will affect finance)

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (knowledge of Excel formula) and Access

- Knowledge/ comfortable with web technologies, content management systems (such as Wordpress & Joomla), and relational database management systems

- Knowledge of maritime industry will be advantageous
