Staring from June 2025, SSA members can now receive weekly intelligence reports on vessels with potential sanctions risks. These reports are provided by Windward Marine Risk (UK) Ltd, and will provide details such as vessel name, IMO number, and class details. Vessels are further categorised into Dark/Gray/Sanctioned Fleet for ease of reference.
Vessels identified in the report exhibit patterns of activity that may be consistent with deceptive shipping practices, or sanctions evasion tactics identified in recent US (OFAC) and UN advisories. This initiative was brought to the fore by the SSA Service Committee, which observed that smaller maritime companies in Singapore lacked resources to conduct thorough compliance checks and were at risk with unknowingly conducting business with Dark or Sanctioned vessels.
This service is exclusively for SSA members and is scheduled to end in June 2026.
To receive the weekly reports, SSA members just need to sign up to be part of the distribution list via the registration link in the circulars sent out to all members (SSA/047/25/EML).
