This course is aimed at providing a basic introduction to the shipping agency documentation system from conceptual and practical viewpoints, to familiarise participants with the various shipping terms, and statutory and trade requirements in the transportation of goods via sea. With the current emphasis on digitalisation and technology, the training areas will also dwell on the use of digital technology in shipping documentation and awareness towards new industry focus areas to stay relevant and sustainable.

This course is intended to provide the underpinning knowledge to assist in both personal and professional development towards becoming an informed crewing agent for the recruitment and ongoing management of seagoing staff. Emphasis will be towards cultural awareness since maritime consists of workforces coming from across different cultures, and it’s critical for this industry’s HR personnel and managers to gain knowledge and experiences on the rules and cultural expectations of others.

This course is aimed at providing participants with the knowledge of container management and container operations. The topics are extensively and holistically covered to create an in-depth understanding so as to enable container operations to be more efficient and effective. The handling of containers at port terminals and inland depot services are discussed to raise awareness for the next generation of ports and international logistics requirements. The use of technology such as tracking systems and just-in-time systems enables early adoption of concepts for further deliberation.

This course seeks to bring a deeper understanding of the importance of Bill of Lading document used in an international context. Proper preparation, issuance and use of this document are discussed in detail to demonstrate effective use of this important document. The course will help participants to appreciate how BL enhances international trade through fulfilment of sales contracts and control over payments before release of goods. Participants will also be exposed to the legal issues governing the BL and learn how to manage conflicts in international trade resulting from BL

This course aims to provide participants with a clear understanding of the science and technology behind nuclear propulsion, including both nuclear fission and the emerging potential of it. It examines how nuclear propulsion can revolutionise the maritime industry by reducing carbon emissions, improving energy efficiency, and supporting global sustainability goals. This course will analyse the technical, operational, and safety challenges associated with nuclear powered vessels, including regulatory hurdles, public perception, and environmental concerns.

This course is aimed at providing a general but practical appreciation on shipbroking and chartering. Participants will be able to handle chartering enquiries and conclude the basic terms of common dry cargo and tanker charter parties. The trainer will provide up-to-date developments in the field as well as any latest changes in maritime law, the types of acceptable cargo, the rules of the charter agreement, maritime finances, and common chartering practices.

This course equips participants to identify and address hidden shipping inefficiencies while gaining a practical understanding of how AI automates document processing and improves visibility. Participants will learn to redesign and future-proof workflows by integrating AI with human expertise, enabling teams to shift toward high-value roles.

This course is tailored for professionals and enthusiasts looking to gain a comprehensive understanding of the shipping business and financing options. It covers essential topics ranging from the fundamentals of the maritime industry to in-depth discussions on financing structures and securitization in the shipping industry.

The course provides an overview of shipping practices. At the end of the course, the participants would be able to understand the roles of shipping in international trade, learn how customers evaluate and select shipping lines for their shipping requirements, and acquire knowledge on shipping line operations. Also, participants would understand the duties, rights and liabilities of a carriers, be aware of the importance and application of IT, know the financial considerations of operating shipping services and appreciate the roles and future challenges of shipping carriers in supply chain management.

This course equips participants with the technical expertise to assess and implement hybrid hydrogen fuel cell–electric propulsion systems in line with evolving regulations. Participants will compare 20‑year total cost of ownership (TCO) across hybrid, pure hydrogen, and diesel systems, evaluate real‑world ROI (including fossil fuel penalties), and optimise system integration. Through case studies, such as Norled’s MF Hydra, HySeas III, and Singapore’s zero‑emission ferry concepts, participants will also learn to navigate funding mechanisms and incentives for retrofits.

This course covers general contract principles, time & voyage charter, bills of lading, marine casualties, collisions, salvage & wreck removal, general average, limitation and forum non conveniens and insurance.

“This course offers a clear overview of the end‑to‑end supply chain for low‑carbon marine fuels, from feedstock origin to onboard combustion. Participants will examine Well‑to‑Wake (WtW) versus Tank‑to‑Wake (TtW) emissions accounting and their regulatory implications, evaluate the scalability and infrastructure needs of key fuels such as biofuels, methanol, ammonia, and hydrogen, and explore real‑world case studies from ASEAN and China. The course also highlights the role of carbon capture, emerging investment trends, future supply hotspots (2025–2035), and what makes a marine fuel future‑proof.”

This course is aimed to familiarise participants with the basic requirements of the Singapore Bunkering Standard SS600 & SS648 and the general knowledge of bunkering operations in Singapore. This course is also a compulsory course or Bunker Cargo Officers & Bunker Surveyors to attend.
