On 25 July 2025, 13 members from the SSA Young Executives Group (YEG) Committee volunteered their time to cycle and pick-up litter alongside Kallang Riverside Park. This Cycle & Clean activity was organised by the Waterways Watch Society (WWS), an independent, non-profit environmental organisation.
Volunteers were given a short presentation on the Singapore Water Story, climate change, the 4 National Taps, the impact of littering, and how Singapore is working towards zero waste, and the importance of stewardship for our environment, where everyone has a part to play.
They began their cycling journey from the office at Waterway Watch Society located below the Merdeka Bridge, to the Singapore Flyer along the Park Connector Network (PCN), making brief stops to carry out litter-picking at designated stops.
YEG activities are open to young executives under 45 years old who are working in our member companies. To get notifications for YEG events, please sign up for the YEG mailing list by writing to the secretariat at jack@ssa.org.sg
