SSA Executive Director Mr. Loh Chun How was appointed as the Shipping Industry Advisor at the 48th Shared Awareness Meeting (SAM) on 24 July 2025, at Concorde Hotel Singapore. The appointment ceremony was witnessed by SSA President Mr. T S Teo and Commander, Maritime Security Task Force (MSTF) RADM Ng Xun Xi.

As the Shipping Industry Advisor, Mr. Loh will work closely with the Information Fusion Centre (IFC), providing industry insights such as merchant vessel operations and industry practices, to enhance IFC’s sense-making analysis.

Acknowledging the vital role that IFC plays in fostering co-operation and information-sharing for safe and secure seas, Mr. Loh expressed his gratitude for the appointment, stating “our maritime landscape is getting increasingly complex; hence this partnership is more important than ever. To that end, SSA is 100% committed to this partnership.”

Mr. Loh’s appointment underscores SSA’s commitment towards working with maritime stakeholders to safeguard our regional waters and the lives of our seafarers.
