Recently, ONE spearheaded two key community outreach initiatives this year aimed at inspiring children. In May, the company participated in the Singapore HeritageFest by hosting an interactive picture book reading session and art contest. ONE later built on that momentum by hosting a second event featuring similar activities as part of Maritime & Port Authority of Singapore (MPA)’s roving exhibition.
Picture Book Reading: Jean-Pierre Travels the Seven Seas
During the live storytelling sessions, children were taken on a journey following a cocoa bean and his friends as they traveled across the globe to become the world’s finest chocolate. The session introduced young minds to the fascinating world of container shipping and how it connects countries, goods, and people across the oceans.
Art Contest (For children 4 to 12 years old)
Following the picture book reading, young explorers participated in an art contest and illustrated the character Jean-Pierre’s arrival and stay in Singapore. The contest encouraged children to express their artistic creativity, with attractive prizes and trophies awarded to top entries, and participation medals for the remaining entries. Every participating child also received a curated goodie bag filled with ONE’s exclusive novelties.
Moving forward, ONE continues its outreach efforts to engage the community, drive meaningful education initiatives, and inspire the next generation.
