The Singapore Shipping Association’s Executive Development Programme (EDP) is the Association’s key professional development initiative, focused on strengthening capabilities across Singapore’s maritime sector.

Designed for both emerging talent and experienced practitioners, the programme delivers industry-relevant training that supports continuous learning, enhances professional competencies, and deepens understanding of the maritime landscape.

By continuously updating its courses in collaboration with industry experts, the EDP ensures participants stay aligned with evolving sector needs and contribute effectively to their organisations and the wider maritime community.

EDP courses are open to both SSA members and non-members, welcoming participation from across the wider maritime industry.

SSA Member Preferential Rates

SSA Member Preferential Rates

EDP is open to both SSA and non-SSA members, however, members enjoy preferential rates. Our highly cost-competitive training courses empower professionals to enhance their skills and drive growth within their organisations at lower than market rates. Course participants could also apply for training grants where relevant.

Maritime Cluster Fund (MCF)

Maritime Cluster Fund (MCF)

Introduced by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA), the Maritime Cluster Fund (MCF) facilitates the growth of Singapore's maritime cluster by supporting the industry's manpower and business development efforts as well as its drive for productivity improvements.

Eligible participants may apply for a grant of 50% to 70% for selected courses under the MCF Training Grant. The grant will be disbursed through SSA upon receipt from MPA.
