28 Sep 2026Celebrating 41 years of overcoming adversity, SSA President Mr TS Teo calls for industry to build upon their resilience in an age of rapid transformation and new challenges.

Held on 25 September 2026, this year’s SSA Gala Dinner saw its biggest crowd yet, with over 2,700 members from the MaritimeSG community gathered at the Grand Sands Ballroom at Marina Bay Sands. It was a lively evening filled with networking, laughter, and sing-alongs to classic tunes performed by the Salambrie Band.

Gracing the occasion as Guest of Honour was Mr Jeffrey Siow, Minister for Transport and Second Minister for Finance, alongside distinguished ambassadors and foreign dignitaries from Denmark, Norway, Greece, Italy, the United Kingdom, Netherlands, Japan, and China.  

“Resilience becomes more important than ever. It will remain a defining feature of our industry,” said SSA President Mr TS Teo in his welcome address. As the world today becomes increasingly polarised, uncertain and volatile, it is crucial that industry players come together to build a shared maritime resilience, one shaped by “open discussions, honest conversations, and sharing of knowledge”.

SSA remains committed to supporting our members and the wider maritime industry during this time of change. “Our objective remains clear: it is to help our members adapt, innovate, and remain future-ready,” Mr Teo said, thanking members who stepped forward to contribute their time and expertise for the betterment of the sector.

He concluded his welcome address with a special acknowledgement to our seafarers, commending them for their professionalism, dedication and resilience, forming the backbone of the shipping industry.
