What is the Startup Engagement Program?

In an era dominated by technological advancements, startups are at the forefront of driving innovation and digitalization to enhance efficiencies, user experience, and business growth. With limited domain knowledge and commercial experience, startups require the support of subject matter experts to guide them through the entire process. SSA’s Startups Engagement Workgroup offers a unique platform for maritime startups to engage with different stakeholders of the maritime ecosystem.

What we do

A tailored program to support maritime startups in engaging other SSA members and the wider ecosystem stakeholders. Our program features a collection of activities to help you kickstart your journey within the SSA.

Startup Technology Showcase

The annual Startup Technology Showcase, is the highlight of the program, bringing together investors, mentors and tech adopters. This showcase allows stakeholders to engage with you and your team, learning more about your solution's value proposition.

Assimilation Support

The workgroup takes a tailored approach towards helping new startup members ease into the maritime ecosystem. A member of the Digitalisation Committee will be assigned as a buddy to the startup for the first 3 months of joining the SSA.

Engagement Opportunities

Engagement opportunities such as quarterly meets to strengthen interactions between startups and industry stakeholders are available. Furthermore, you can access our Mentor Connect and Proof of Concept initiatives to secure appropriate mentors for guidance and potential clients to testbed and validate your solutions.
